Stitt and Cook have been working as The Panacea Society since 2003 when they produced a 10” vinyl record based on the songs of Panacea, an obscure Bedford based British psychedelic band of the 1960s.
Since then they have been featured at numerous festivals in the UK and Europe performing a mixture of collaborative songs and music from André Stitt solo albums. In 2006 they toured extensively throughout North America and recorded at studios in Austin, Texas and Seattle.
For NRLA The Panacea Society will perform a concert set accompanied by visuals from VJ Jacuzzi Junta.
Born in Belfast, N. Ireland, Stitt is considered one of Europe’s foremost performance artists. He has worked as a live artist since 1976 creating hundreds of unique performances at major galleries, festivals, alternative venues, and sites specific throughout the world.
From Essex, Cook has been playing in punk and lo-fi bands since he was 16. Since 1999 he has been based in Cardiff producing and playing his own unique brand of lo-fi electronica.
