A Space for Live Art

Live art, an artistic discipline which defies all definition is experiencing a remarkable renewal. But it is still little known to the world at large. To bridge this gap and strengthen the position of new forms of live art in Europe, eight cultural structures have partnered in a five-year European project entitled A space for live art.

Through each partner's programming and the different forms of exchange co-productions, dissemination, residences, international symposia the diversity of the artistic approaches will be highlighted.

Theory meetings, the constitution of a critical corpus written by professionals and documentation of projects in sound and/or images will strengthen the reflexive and documentary aspect of live art and there will also be room for mediation and transmission, through an infiltration of the public area and a teaching strand, in particular in art schools where young talents will be encouraged.

Un espace pour la performance

La performance, discipline artistique qui « défie toute définition », connaît un remarquable renouveau. Elle reste cependant peu connue du grand public. Pour pallier cette méconnaissance et conforter la place dévolue aux nouvelles formes de performance en Europe, huit structures culturelles se sont associées dans le cadre d'un projet européen sur cinq ans, intitulé Un espace pour la performance.

A travers la programmation de chaque partenaire et les différentes formes d'échanges mises en place -coproductions, diffusion, résidences, colloques internationaux-, la diversité des approches artistiques est mise en exergue. Des rendez-vous théoriques, la constitution d'un corpus critique écrit par des professionnels et la documentation des projets en son et/ou en images viendront renforcer l'aspect réflexif et documentaire sur la performance. Place aussi à la médiation et à la transmission, via une infiltration de l'espace publique et un volet pédagogique, notamment dans les écoles d'art où les jeunes talents seront encouragés.

Un Espacio para el Arte de Acción.

El Arte de Acción, como disciplina artística que "desafía cualquier definición" esta experimentando una importante renovación, pero todavía es poco conocida por el público. Para llenar este vacio y fortalecer la posición del nuevo Arte de Acción en Europa, ocho estructuras culturales se han comprometido en un proyecto Europeo a cinco años bajo el título "A space for live art" (Un espacio para el Arte de Acción).

A través de la programación de cada socio en este proyecto y de las diferentes formas de intercambio: coproducciones, diseminaciones, residencias, simposiums internacionales...; la diversidad en la manera de abordar al Arte de Accción será el plato fuerte de este proyecto.

Los encuentros teóricos, la constitución de un "corpus" crítico escrito por profesionales y la documentación del proyecto en imagenes y sonidos fortalecerán los aspectos reflexivos y documentales del Arte de Acción. Tendremos también un espacio para los medios y para la transmisión a traves de la inflitración en el espacio publico y académico, espacialmente a traves de las Facultades de Bellas Artes donde los nuevos talentos deben ser alentados.
