German born Silke Mansholt has been working with multi media and live art practices since 1995. Her performance work is known for the uncompromising, moving and humorous exploration of life and the inner self. Mansholt was last seen at the NRLA in 2002 with Homage to the Heart.
The Bluecoat, Liverpool has commissioned Mansholt to create Orphan (2003) and a new piece for the Liverpool Biennial 2004. Recipient of an artsadmin bursary Mansholt has recently entered a yearlong process of guided thought reversal. This production is funded by the Arts Council of England, South East.
