The garden is oneself, your fantasies, your fears, your desires.
The garden is life, relationship with others.
The garden is a show.

Senza Tempo would like to lead you up the garden path... to a strange, magical place where wishes can come true but not necessarily as hopeful dreamers intended. Because Mother Nature and human nature are both prone to going their own way, just when you thought you had everything under control!

The companys imaginary garden shares some of the plot-lines that scamper through
A Midsummers Nights Dream. Love-hate relationships come and go in a state of confusion that becomes even more complicated when sexual attraction is subject to the dictates of a spell.
But is a spell really needed for a fairy queen to fall in love with a donkey? Or for love at first sight to exist after all?

Step into Senza Tempos garden-cum-mindset and youll find a thriving display of hybrid art forms. Its dance but not simply as an expression of text or music. And its theatre but not as in strict play-making. Instead, its a combination of whatever seems the most appropriate vehicle for pursuing truths about the times we live in, the dreams we hold dear.

Senza Tempo: Their work hovers between the designated borderlines of dance and drama, free to go in either direction but always aiming to engage with an audience to involve their emotions and transport them to their personal imaginary world.

Their compositions are woven with the liberated logic of poetry; and theres an element of surprise that can tease and delight, but also because of how they use moments of unexpected imagery theres a point at which audiences find themselves thinking outside the box. And coming up with funny, enlightening conclusions.

There are stories being told, yes. But the combination of the banal and the surreal, the way in which the company build up structures of association rather than linear narratives, allows audiences to create their own interpretation of events that are strangely strange yet oddly normal. And never less than intriguing and inventively staged.
