Something Tender
I am in a bar and Im thinking of you.
I thought that everything is possibly art and that art is possibly all about living.
I ask how far will we go.
I ask who will assist to extract my blood.
How tender will we be?
We will have 120 minutes to travel to the edge and hopefully come back.
Michael Mayhew returns to the NRLA having travelled across China, made a home in Holland, between then and now, everything is up for grabs.
Mayhew has never previously sought to contextualize, explain or define his practice; this is an opportunity to hear a short story from a long life.
