Michael Clark Company (UK)
Mmm...
Mmm… is a brutal, physical affirmation of life born out of Clark’s response to The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky. Touring for the first time since it's creation in 1992 this production of Mmm... features a live performance of Stravinsky's arrangement for piano duet. In Mmm… Clark explores the themes of birth, life, death, and renewal in a relentless and sexually charged choreography.
Mmm… Stravinsky Project Part 2 forms the second part of a 3-year collaboration with the Barbican in London to produce a trilogy of works to seminal dance scores by Stravinsky.
Choreography Michael Clark; Lighting Charles Atlas; Set Design Michael Clark & Steven Scott; Original Costume Design Leigh Bowery; Additional Costumes Stevie Stewart & Michael Clark; Pianists Andrew West & Philip Moore.
