Scripted to within an Inch of her Life
Devised by Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie, Scripted to within an Inch of her Life is an investigation into hybrid performance languages informed by current practice in dance and camera, dance and installation. This is a looped solo installation performance featuring Liz Aggiss, where both film and performer become literally installed, physically, textually, performatively and emotionally strapped into the work. Encased by the performance, scripted in multiple options and rehearsed to within an inch of her life, this is work that leaves nothing to chance, where process is product, reality and illusion interface and private and public fuse

The Men in the Wall - Screen installation
Devised and created by Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie, The Men in the Wall is a four screen 3 dimensional screen installation where each wall-mounted tableaux vivante is an independent dependent, displaying a tightly choreographed shared framed life, a private quartet of public difference encased in text, hypersound and physicality. Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie have been collaborating for over 20 years developing live performance and dance for camera under the umbrella title of Divas.
Liz Aggiss trained with Nikolais/Louis New York, Hanya Holm in Colorado and Hilde Holger in London. Billy Cowie studied composition with Kenneth Leighton before winning the Clutterbuck Scholarship to study with Donatoni, Pousseur and Stockhausen.
Liz Aggiss is supported by the Arts Council of England and is Professor of Visual Performance at the University of Brighton
