Kris Verdonck (Belgium)
Duet
A man and woman are in a situation of absolute mutual dependence: suspended in the air, attached to a rotating grab crane. The man and the woman have to embrace, support, help each other - just like two dancers in a pas de deux. Because of the rotation, the effect of gravity on the two bodies is subject to constant changes.
Kris Verdonck trained in visual arts, architecture and theatre that is reflected in the work he produces: we can situate his creations in the transit zone between the visual arts and theatre, between installation and performance, between dance and architecture.
