Seen, Not Heard
By embracing intersections between performance and sculpture, unexpected junctures of body and object are created. Single domestic objects and recreations of once private domains, fully functional empty shells, are parted from their familiar domestic settings and exposed within the gallery. What is performing? Body, object, space, me? By installing, attaching and embedding my body within my objects, we are becoming one, one single unit, one observed object. My body is a physical part of the chosen item. As the audience engage, I observe from my space the unseen and forgotten cavities within.
