What Goes Up Must Come Down
‘A fun and liberating performance in which I contemplate the use and abuses of the female body. I present myself as a human coconut-shy and invite the audience to join me in creating a piece of art that centres around my crotch.
This interactive presentation combines personal history with likely stories whilst the props speak a language of anecdotes and old wives’ tales, culminating in a lighthearted yet resonant experience for the onlookers and participants.
What Goes Up Must Come Down is the second part of The Sexy Project in which I am exploring the term ‘sexy’ and its possible meanings and ramifications, and the idea that sex and/or the vagina is a currency, the value of which changes as one travels through different times, cultures, and places in their life.
The project poses unanswerable questions but develops material that is riveting, appalling, entertaining, and necessary, for me and hopefully many other men, women and those in between.’
