Jenna Watt

Bench

My thought processes are most prolific when I am waiting, waiting in mundane environments, waiting for people, buses, my hair to dry, my dinner to cook, queuing, queuing always queuing and waiting for my real life to begin. Bench is a way to record these moments, this waste of time, my small revolt against time and the non-places that occupy my life.

Inspired by Marc Auges’ Non-Places, Bench exposes our idle thoughts within a non-place. Polaroids record our mutual experience of this environment; please feel free to browse my thoughts.
