You Make Me

A video installation that unrelentingly catches the artist punching outwards, from the screen - with us, in her sights, as it were. Set in a studio the performer strikes a polystyrene block, dipping in and out of frantic, almost psychotic, phases of fast, intense, punches. Inside the block, a camera receives a head on view of the artist banging her fists and arms towards the screen. The work portrays a large amount of frustration and determination as a way of interpreting the feeling of struggle.

My Struggle

The performance is set on a floor of polystyrene where a large thick block of the same material is standing upright in front of the artist. The work portrays a large amount of frustration and determination as we see the artist punching and striking the polystyrene block in front of her. Throughout the performance the artist is continually dipping in and out of frantic movements.
