Looped?
The performance takes place inside a hollow polystyrene box raised three feet above the ground. The floor consists of a rectangle of green grass and the box is supported by metal legs with wheels (mimicking the wheels that are on a shopping trolley) and is filled with bottles of water. The performer holds onto the trolley, which does not move, and begins to run - an action she loathes to do. She runs on the spot continuously, until completely exhausted. In this performance the artist attempts to demonstrate the pain and struggle of life, of never being able to stop.
