A Family Saga Episode One

A darkened space and an Aladdins cave of everyday objects. Projected images animate a series of still lives... small hanging speakers offer intimate narratives, which encourage the discovery of hidden secrets. Musty light falls on empty bottles whilst close by a small speaker tells of a boy who bottles everything up inside. Nearby, a female voice describes her parents separation as the day she stopped painting. Refusing to prescribe to an ideal contemporary family model this piece provides a space for reflection with the audience free to explore the installation at their own pace.

Since graduating with first class BA honours in Dance and Visual Arts at the University of Brighton, Hannah has shown work at the Tilburg Festival and gained a Nagoya University of Arts award, and Burt Brill and Cardens award in recognition of outstanding artistic achievement.
