‘In my performances I use explosions and my body to create images of very fugitive and very physical moments.
The moment before the explosion is very important, because it contains all the existing tension between wonder and danger.
Time condenses and becomes physical and visual. The body is the very place of this tension.
First waiting for the explosion, then the explosion itself and finally the traces: the echo of the impact, the body getting relaxed, the smell, the smoke and the floor.
It’s also the desire to play with the notion of danger and at the same time its diversion to create a more poetic picture.’’
