Tympanic a maxi-sensory audio tour

An intimate audio tour for one person with the rising star of Scottish theatre The Observer.

This eccentric sightseeing trip allows you to hear, smell, see, taste and touch the forgotten nooks and crannies under Glasgow Central Station. A recording of a tour guides voice is interwoven with a richly textured soundscape of supposedly private stories - intriguing stories filled with self-help mumbo-jumbo and advice on the best places to get casual sex. The piece draws into question the notion of confessional performance art, the ethics of the tabloid kiss and tell expos and the veracity of anything that claims to be based on a true story. There are also some scatological nutrition tips that would make Dr. Gillian McKeith choke on her brown rice.

David Leddy is a director, writer, performer and producer based in Glasgow. He has been described as one of the most exciting and energetic artists working in British theatre today by Total Theatre magazine.
