The Bill Dixon Memorial Tour
‘A 75-minute monologue dealing with the key issues in my life: cycling, death, and being dumped by my girlfriend. Framed by a cycling trip in the Welsh countryside that I took in memory of my late uncle, the story wanders around (much like I did in Wales) trying to make sense out of loneliness, internet dating, and what it feels like to wear lycra cycling shorts at 40 years of age.
I began my professional career as a writer and performer at the NRLA in 1989. I then took on a series of commissions from various bodies and also wrote and toured a series of autobiographical monologues until 1998 when I ran out of things to say. I now teach English to teenagers. I have to say, it’s good to be back.’
