PIECE 2
EN FORME (2004)
British Premieres

Didier Thron has created an enormous breadth of work, touring extensively to critical acclaim from both the dance and theatre worlds. For new territories 2004 he presents two dance pieces based on the works of two literary giants. Piece 1, The Fellow Traveller, based on Samuel Beckett's novel, brought the house down at the Shizuoka Spring Festival (Japan) in 2001. For Piece 2, he will be taking the novels of Franz Kafka as his source of inspiration, focusing on works like The Father's Letter, Academie's Report and The Burrow.

Didier Thron studied dance with masters such as Merce Cunningham and Dominique Bagouet. He received first prize for choreography at the Avignon Winter Festival in 1987.

The company was last seen at New Moves in 1992 with the marvellous, On tenterhooks. The company has been supported by: Ministere de la Culture-Drac Languedoc-Roussillon, Conseil Regional du Languedoc-Roussillion, Ville de Montpellier and Conseil General de L'Herault. Their performance in Glasgow has been supported by AFAA.
