Inclusion depends on exclusion and boundaries can become instruments of possession. Traces addresses issues of Diaspora, dispossession and displacement, attempts are made to map out territory and place by creating borders. Forming dates from sand, a residue of time, the images created may go unnoticed and be destroyed; the fragility and eradication of the images echoes the situation of the Palestinian's own disappearance of a nation, of a home, and of a homeland. 

Yara is a recent graduate in fine art and creates cross art-form works based on her interest in world politics, identity, race, nation and place.
