Sarah Jane Pell  |  Second Nature: Second Skin

Sarah trains as the principal aquanaut for an underwater performance research team called ARTi in Western Australia. 

In addition to highly technical commercial diving, she studies aerial performance and Feldenkrais to develop neutral buoyancy performance techniques. Her practice is a fusion of visual installation and conceptual choreography driven by an interest in perceptions, both illusory and real, of time and space. 

Sarah holds the inaugural candidature PhD of Visual Art at Edith Cowan University. Her work was part of the NRLA at the Midland Railway Workshops, Western Australia in 2002. This is her first performance in the UK.
