One Year On 

'To celebrate the Golden Jubilee, The Lord Chancellor's Department upgraded four towns in the United Kingdom to city status. Despite generously fulfilling all the necessary criteria, Watford was conspicuous by its absence from the shortlist. 

All I can assume is that the Hertfordshire town has been the victim of some terrible administrative oversight, or perhaps even a covert smear campaign instigated by Croydon. 

As such, I am doing what I can to ensure that this error is rectified by promoting the virtues of Watford in my one-man travelling lecture.'
