"a rich and changing soundscape" |

Using everyday materials and simple physical processes, Lee creates an immersible soundscape. The construction of the soundscape is dependent upon a series of improvised performance actions that transform the materials. Bottles founded in the area around the venue as well as those from the artist's own collection, are heated in containers of hot water. They are removed from the water during the performance and balanced upside down. On cooling down, varying sounds are produced; a rich and changing soundscape is created by the choice and positioning of certain bottles. A graduate from the University of Salford, Lee has recently shown work at Expo in Nottingham and Root in Hull. |
