Formed in relationship to gallery based (esoteric) and street based (popular) contexts, grounded in everyday consciousness. The creation of non-physical objects as an interference with the physical, piercing into solid space and projecting into open space. An interference with the social, negotiating boundaries of accepted activity within a specific environment. A revelation of the unseen, a manifestation of the non-manifest, an opportunity for perceptual shifts to occur. Since graduating from Dartington College of Arts in 2001, Jon has shown work throughout the UK and Europe including the Deep Root festival in Hull, the Intermedia Festival in Cork and the Back Up festival in Germany. |
