"exploring the boundaries between the body of the performer and the body of a building"

Exploring the boundaries between the body of the performer and the body of a building, the Anchor Series is an ongoing project of performed installations. Over a number of locations throughout The Arches, the body will be installed or blended into the structural fabric of the building: The body or body parts placed within its spaces will reveal the hidden poetic life of the building. These brief ongoing installations, some private, some public, will be documented on site to form a record of the journey and a mapping of the relationship that develops.

Eve Dent is best known for Just Below The Surface, performed in the UK and Europe. She continues to produce performance works that are direct responses to specific sites, most recently My Niche in the chimney space at Trace Artspace in Cardiff (2000); and Floored/In Perfect Condition in a set of cupboards at Site Gallery, Sheffield (2001). She was an artist in residence at Les Subsistances in Lyon (2002) and is a current recipient of an Artsadmin Artists Bursary.
