installation of objects, smell and sounds.
The piece is about the nature of memory and our experience of ‘time’ and deals with dualities intrinsic to perception – light and dark, inside and outside, the visible an invisible.
The
piece has been inspired by myths and stories told to me as a child, the most
significant being an ancient Greek myth that narrated the story of a young
girl who encircles the shadow of her lover in an attempt to capture his
presence. The
drawing on the wall is a substitute for his imminent absence.
