(British Premiere)

A concert with simultaneous projection of an animated film by Andrzej Czeczot.

After a series of projects where Freight Train performed to German/Russian Expressionist silent movies from the 20’s, the group have decided to confront some entirely contemporary footage.  Andrzej Czeczot’s Eden is a hand drawn full-length feature in three parts Hell, Paradise and The Ark, which tells the story of Youzeck, a Polish Everyman, who travels in time and space through intermingling myths of European culture and religion.  There is no text in the film – just music and sound effects.

Musicians Piotr Bikont (vocals), Marek Choloniewski (computer instruments), Wlodzimierz Kiniorski (sax, flutes, percussion) and Krzysztof Knittel (electronic instruments), are not the authors of the music for the final version of the film (currently being composed by Michal Urbaniak), so wish this concert to be treated as an experiment within the framework of a work-in-progress.
