“..astounding, brilliant, utterly captivating.”  The Herald.  One of the surprise hits of New Moves Australia 2000, Lisa O’Neill makes a welcome return to Glasgow with her new work.

Fugu San focuses on the direct engagement between performer and audience.  It achieves this as the performer entices the spectator through a series of dramatic shifts in focus, drawing them into lingering moments of her emotional world.

Lisa trains extensively in the Japanese Suzuki Actor Training Method.  She is deeply committed to creating and presenting contemporary works that draw from this highly disciplined and philosophical practice.  Her work is a continual exploration into the “Art of Performing”.

In Fugu San, Lisa creates an intense and highly theatrical experience through her amalgamation of Suzuki influenced performance and contemporary dance.

The soundscape for Fugu San was developed with DJ Emma Pursey and is mixed live on stage.
