(British Premieres)
Both
works are interactive cyber installations consisting of conventional paintings
executed in acrylic on canvas alongside virtual extensions (digital replicas)
of the same paintings activated on a computer.
Hotlinks on the digital versions reveal unfolding narratives that are
at times linear and at others discordant and deviating.
By
interfacing the traditional (painting) with the technological (website), one
arrives at narratives that are meant to rupture the linearity of the aesthetic
experience that we expect to receive from the traditional passive painted
surface.
