Arts and culture
We invite artists to develop their skills. We work with interpretive dance, traditional dance, performative arts, visual arts and plenty more. We believe that art is a central part to any culture and that it should be nurtured as much as possible.
Seminars and talks
Seminars will look at different aspects of rising and alternative methods of contemporary public art commissioning by examining the role of the curator or even commissioner in an exemplary worldwide public art project. Set up through unofficial illustrated presentations, group chats and critical responses, the three seminars will offer attendees the chance to hear from, and interrogate, the commissioners behind the schemes, the artists and other people involved, and respondents from the modern public art sector.
We can inform you about a commissioning organisations based in your local area with a scheme including the commissioning of innovative artists' projects, often outside normal gallery or museum contexts, and public events, chats and seminars. This project builds long-lasting, long-term partnerships with your communities to build new audiences, raise the offer and broaden the opportunity for engagement, particularly in place-based areas, rather than standardised white-cube environments. We believe that nurturing arts is a great way of maintaining the happiness of a culture. What exactly do we mean by live art? At its most basic level, Live Art is when an artist of some sort decides to make work live in front of the audience in place and time. Rather than making an object, or a place (a sculpture for example) and allowing the audience to encounter in their own time, this form of art comes alive at the actual time of encounter between artist and watcher. Even if the viewer is not physically present, the artist creates a situation in which the audience feels the work in a particular space and time, and the notion of being there and then is key to the themes of the work.
